Possible paraphrase: "Reader's Feature discusses necessary changes for a Zelda: Ocarina Of Time remake."

Rumors of a Zelda: Ocarina Of Time remake have sparked suggestions for updates to the beloved game.

Possible paraphrase:

When it comes to remaking one of the greatest video games of all time, how do you even begin? Rumors have been circulating that Nintendo is planning on remaking one of their most beloved games, and one reader has some suggestions for what changes could be made to give Zelda: Ocarina Of Time a modern update. It's not common for Nintendo to do remakes, although it would be wrong to say they never do them.

They tend to focus on minor games like Super Mario RPG and a few Kirby games. And while it's not typical for there to be leaks about their upcoming games, it does happen on occasion. For example, information about Donkey Kong Bananza was leaked years before its release, even though the details were a bit vague.

The latest leak didn't reveal much, other than the fact that a remake of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is in the works. There's no information on who will be developing it or how much it will differ from the original. Will it be a complete overhaul like the Resident Evil 2 remake, or will it be more similar to the 3DS version, which was essentially a remaster?

As someone who has no inside information, I can only hope that this remake will be a high-budget effort, especially if it's intended to be their flagship game for the holiday season. If this is the case, it's likely that there will be some changes made, similar to the Resident Evil remakes. And as a fan of the original game, I have some ideas for what those changes could be.

First and foremost, I hope that any changes made will be minimal. The combat and dungeon designs are iconic and don't need to be altered, but there are some areas that could use some fine-tuning. However, there's one aspect that I absolutely do not want to see changed: the creepiness and weirdness of the game.

It's what sets Ocarina Of Time apart from other modern Zelda games, and I believe it's important to keep that atmosphere intact. This means keeping the ReDeads scary and leaving the Forest Temple as it is. One change that I think would greatly improve the remake is the addition of voice acting.

While recent games in the series have started to incorporate more voice acting, I believe it would be even better if all characters had voices (except for Link, of course). This would enhance the immersion and make the world feel more alive. And let's be honest, the only reason this hasn't been done before is because Nintendo doesn't like spending money on actors.

Another major decision to be made is the art style. It's hard to determine if the original game was meant to be photorealistic or not, given the limited technology at the time. However, I believe that the slightly stylized look of the original should be maintained.

If you look closely at the character faces, you can see a subtle cartoonish effect, and I would love for that to stay in the remake. There are some basic changes that could be made to improve the overall experience, like making Hyrule Field larger and more populated, creating one seamless open world instead of separate areas, and maintaining the original design of the game. These changes should be feasible given the advancements in technology since the original release.

One potential challenge for the remake will be the game's complexity, especially when it comes to the dungeon puzzles. While Ocarina Of Time was not considered a difficult game at the time of its release, modern gamers may struggle with the lack of hand-holding. The infamous Water Temple, in particular, could be a roadblock for younger players.

To address this, I think there should be an option to play a simplified version of the game, with easier puzzles and a more straightforward approach. There are many other features that could be added to enhance the overall experience, such as new side quests, more diverse and numerous monsters, and maybe even a new dungeon. And on a side note, I would love to see some clarification on what happens to Navi at the end of the game, perhaps leading into a tease for a potential Majora's Mask remake.

It always bothered me that her fate was never revealed. Considering how beloved Ocarina Of Time is and how many later games in the series have drawn inspiration from it, I don't envy whoever is tasked with remaking it. But as a fan, I can say that I will be there on release day, eagerly waiting to experience this timeless classic in a whole new way.
