Dennis Condrey, a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling, has passed away at the age of 74. Fellow wrestler Dax Harwood broke the news on Friday, and since then, tributes have been pouring in for the star. Condrey was best known for his partnership with Bobby Eaton, forming one of the most iconic tag teams in WWE history during the 1980s.
Harwood, who was a close friend of Condrey's, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, calling him a "true pioneer of professional wrestling." He also expressed his love for the late wrestler and promised to keep his and the Midnight Express' legacy alive for as long as he's in the business. No official cause of death has been announced yet. Condrey, also known by his nickname "Loverboy," rose to fame in the late 70s and 80s as one half of the Midnight Express.
According to Harwood, their partnership was one of the greatest tag teams of all time, paving the way for future tag teams in the industry. In honor of Condrey's memory, his wife has given the green light to set up a GoFundMe page to cover the funeral costs and other expenses she is now handling on her own.
