Top Arsenal player to finalize move for €20m following World Cup.

Mikel Arteta has big plans for Arsenal's upcoming season, with a focus on strengthening their forward line. After a successful Premier League campaign which saw them finally claim the title after 22 years, the Gunners are now looking to build on their success and start from a position of strength. Despite finishing comfortably ahead of their competitors, Arsenal faced criticism for relying too heavily on their defensive abilities and scoring most of their goals from set-pieces.

Players like Noni Madueke, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli struggled to find the back of the net from open play, while Viktor Gyokeres, who was signed for a hefty fee of £62million, only showed glimpses of his potential. Kai Havertz emerged as Arteta's go-to striker towards the end of the season, but concerns remain about his fitness due to recurring injuries. Leandro Trossard, on the other hand, proved to be the most consistent forward for Arsenal last season, even though he went through a goalless streak.

The 31-year-old played a crucial role in the team's success, scoring a late match-winning goal against West Ham. However, according to reports, Arsenal have accepted an offer from Besiktas for Trossard and are prepared to let him go. The deal is worth €18million with an additional €2million in add-ons.

Trossard is also set to earn a salary of around €9million per year. Although Arsenal had given him a pay rise last year, they did not extend his contract which is set to expire in June 2027. Trossard is currently playing for Belgium at the World Cup and will have to wait until after the tournament to finalize his move.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are already on the lookout for a replacement for Trossard. They have identified Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers as their top target and are also keeping a close eye on Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola. In addition, they are exploring the possibility of signing winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for a fee of around €40million.

It has been a rollercoaster ride for England at the World Cup, with their latest heroics sending them through to the quarter-finals. Belgium, with Leandro Trossard as a key member, are also still in the tournament and will face the USA in the next round.

With so much going on, it's definitely an exciting time for football fans.
