Suspect in triple homicide found on top of water tank.

In Deogarh, a man was arrested by the police on Saturday for committing a heinous crime. The man, identified as Ramesh Garia, had allegedly killed his wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter in Gariapali village under the jurisdiction of Kundheigola police in Deogarh district. The police found him hiding on top of an overhead water tank and he was taken into custody.

However, before he could be arrested, he attempted to end his own life by consuming poison. The accused was immediately rushed to the Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. As his condition worsened, he was transferred to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla.

Reports suggest that the accused was first spotted by villagers who then alerted the authorities. The police immediately reached the spot, but the accused threatened to jump off the water tank if anyone came near him. It was only with the help of the fire services that the police were able to overpower him.

After taking him into custody, the accused was taken to the Kundheigola hospital for medical treatment. However, it was suspected that he had consumed poison in an attempt to take his own life. The doctors tried to induce vomiting to remove the poison, but the accused did not cooperate with the treatment.

As his condition became critical, he was shifted to the Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital and later to Burla for advanced treatment. Currently, he is under police custody and is receiving medical attention. This incident is a result of a shocking triple murder that took place late on Wednesday night.

According to the police, Ramesh had brutally bludgeoned his wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter to death with a hammer in their home in Gariapali village. After committing the murders, the accused had fled and was reportedly hiding in nearby forest areas while the police launched a search operation. With the police intensifying their search, the accused was eventually spotted on Saturday morning.

However, instead of surrendering, he tried to take his own life. Deogarh Superintendent of Police, Anil Kumar Mishra, stated that legal action will be taken against the accused once he recovers from his medical condition. This tragic incident has shocked the entire community and the police are determined to bring justice to the victims and their families.
