BALMAIN has appointed Hans Dorsinville to the role of Senior Vice President, Global Creative, BALMAIN BEAUTY, effective January 2023. Hans will be based in New York City and report to Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director of BALMAIN. He will work closely with the BALMAIN and BALMAIN BEAUTY teams, along with Guillaume Jesel, President of Global Brands, TOM FORD BEAUTY, BALMAIN BEAUTY and Luxury Business Development, and Nathalie Berger Duquene, Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, BALMAIN BEAUTY.

As SVP, Global Creative, Hans will be tasked with overseeing the entire creative process for BALMAIN BEAUTY, including image, concepts, strategy and the brand voice alignment with the fashion house. He will collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth experience with all customer touchpoints throughout the journey.

Hans brings more than 25 years of creative experience to the BALMAIN BEAUTY team, having served in leadership roles at a variety of fashion, branding and advertising firms, as well as in-house at Donna Karan. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Creative Officer at Gotham, managing the strategic creative projects for numerous fashion and beauty brands. Before Gotham, Hans was Chief Creative Officer at Select World, after spending more than 10 years at Laird + Partners, where he was a founding partner. As Executive Vice President, Senior Group Creative Director at Laird + Partners, he managed brand concepting, art direction for digital and print, packaging design, merchandising and fashion shows for clients in the luxury fragrance, high jewelry and fashion industries.

Hans's ascent in the fashion and beauty creative leadership realm began when he joined the in-house creative agency of Donna Karan in the early 1990s as Junior Designer. Moving up the ladder of responsibility, Hans took on the role of EVP, working on campaigns for Collection and the DKNY bridge line, as well as all fashion and licensees, including fragrance and skincare. Hans graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York and Paris.
