Self-control, or Dama, is another common theme in both philosophies. We must learn to tame our minds and practice restraint in our lives. Seva or Service is the cornerstone of a life well-lived and realized. It is the foundation of true happiness.
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated around the world every year. To truly understand the lessons of this great man, one must visit places in India that were part of the Indian independence movement. Even children in China recite his sayings, and this speaks volumes about his influence and legacy.
