Classic 80s film 'The Breakfast Club' now available for streaming on Netflix.

Netflix will now be offering a new live series called "The Breakfast Club" on their platform starting June 1st. This is the first daily live show that Netflix is introducing, according to Deadline. This addition is a result of their partnership with iHeartMedia and highlights their growing focus on live and video podcast content.

The show will be hosted by Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious, and will air on New York's Power 105.1 radio station while also streaming on Netflix for nearly three hours every day. In addition, Netflix subscribers will have access to exclusive behind-the-scenes clips, extended interviews, and bonus segments that are not included in the radio broadcast. Charlamagne tha God expressed his excitement for the new show, stating, "The media landscape is always changing, but one thing remains constant: live programming.

This is a major reason why 'The Breakfast Club' has remained a dominant force for so long. We are creating something powerful - real-time conversations, a real sense of community, on a global scale." This announcement comes as streaming companies are investing more in affordable and recurring live programming to increase daily viewer engagement. According to Reuters, this partnership builds upon a video podcast deal that was announced between Netflix and iHeartMedia in late 2025.

Netflix's vice president of content licensing and programming strategy, Lauren Smith, shared, "This is a significant step forward in how we bring culturally defining audio-first franchises to life for Netflix audiences worldwide. We are thrilled to further deepen our partnership with iHeartMedia." Since its launch in 2010, 'The Breakfast Club' has become a major staple in hip-hop and Black popular culture. The show is known for its candid celebrity interviews and thought-provoking discussions on political issues.

Past guests have included former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and notable artists like Kendrick Lamar and Alicia Keys. In addition to its cultural impact, this new deal also showcases Netflix's growing commitment to unscripted and live entertainment as it competes with other platforms like YouTube for video podcast viewers. This is just the latest move in their efforts to provide diverse and engaging content for their subscribers.

And on a side note, fans of Charlamagne Tha God will be happy to know that he is also bringing the beloved Krystal Burger chain to South Carolina.
