Houston-based rapper and entrepreneur Bun B is reflecting on the recent sentencing of Tory Lanez as other industry leaders have sent letters of support. In an interview with TMZ, Bun B expressed his thoughts on the 10-year prison sentence, calling it a “wake-up” call for domestic violence.
Bun B has been outspoken in his defense of Megan Thee Stallion, the rapper who was involved in the 2020 incident with Lanez. He said, “I don’t care if this go viral. Bun B believes that it is essential to speak up and stand with Black women, even if it puts a strain on relationships with other people. He said, “I feel like if I hadn’t said anything, I’m not sure how much people would have even spoken on this issue. And if my relationship with Tory Lanez is damaged, then so be it. We have to protect our Black women and any Black man that doesn’t feel the same way is not my brother.”
