The Chief of Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth, made a visit to the forward areas in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Thursday. Upon his arrival, the Army chief visited the White Knight Corps headquarters in Nagrota, where he received a briefing from senior commanders on the security situation in the Jammu region. After this, General Seth proceeded to visit the forward locations in Poonch district. Here, he carefully reviewed the security arrangements and operational preparedness. The Army chief also took the opportunity to meet with senior military officials at the Poonch Brigade headquarters.
During this meeting, he was briefed on the deployment of troops, the current security scenario, and the operational readiness of the troops.
