Shaniqua Tompkins alleges being coerced into signing life rights deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Books.

Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of 50 Cent's eldest child, recently revealed that she signed away her life rights to G-Unit, the rapper's company, out of fear for her safety. AllHipHop reported that Tompkins, who entered into the life rights deal in 2007, claimed that she was coerced and threatened by G-Unit, ultimately leading her to breach the terms of their agreement. This comes in response to a lawsuit filed by G-Unit Books, which accuses Tompkins of violating the life rights deal by speaking about 50 Cent in interviews and on social media.

In her accusations against 50 Cent, Tompkins alleges that she suffered physical and verbal abuse during her pregnancy and their relationship. When she signed the deal, she had agreed to give G-Unit Books exclusive rights to her life story, name, and likeness, while also being restricted from sharing her side of the story without the company's approval. However, she now claims that the intimidation tactics were instigated by 50 Cent's former manager, the late Chris Lighty.

Tompkins states that she received numerous calls from him, pressuring her to sign the agreement, even after she declined. According to Tompkins, Lighty even went as far as tracking her down and showing up at her Las Vegas hotel room with another man, in an attempt to get her to sign the agreement. She recalls feeling threatened and fearing for her and her children's safety during this encounter.

Tompkins also claims that she was not given the opportunity to fully review the contract and was only shown the signature page, which she was forced to sign on the spot. Feeling like she had no other choice, Tompkins signed the agreement under extreme duress. She states that she was emotionally and financially dependent on 50 Cent at the time, as her relationship with him was not in a good place.

Additionally, she had left her house-flipping business at the insistence of the rapper and was a stay-at-home mother, relying entirely on his financial support. Tompkins also alleges that G-Unit Books did not fulfill their end of the bargain, as they were supposed to pay her $80,000 but only gave her $35,000 after deducting $5,000 for a lawyer she claims she never hired. She argues that the company should not be able to enforce a contract that they themselves did not uphold.

In light of these revelations, Tompkins is fighting back against the lawsuit and standing her ground. She refuses to be silenced and believes that she should not be bound to a contract that was allegedly broken by the other party first. It's a complicated and messy situation, but one thing is clear - Tompkins is determined to share her side of the story and seek justice for herself and her children.
