Police in Odisha set up 80-kilometer road for injured boy to quickly reach hospital.

The young boy, a fifth-grade student, had been returning home from school when he fell from his bicycle and sustained a serious injury to his lower abdomen. Upon learning of the accident, the police wasted no time in creating an 80 km green corridor to quickly transfer the boy to MKCG Medical College Hospital in Brahmapur. This green corridor allowed for the ambulance to have uninterrupted movement, avoiding any potential delays or traffic congestion. It was a race against time, but the police were determined to get the boy to the hospital as quickly and safely as possible.

Thanks to the efficient and well-coordinated efforts of the police, the ambulance reached the hospital in just 1.45 hours. It was a remarkable feat, considering the distance and potential roadblocks. The superintendent of MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Sudeepa Dash, commended the police for their timely response, stating that the boy's life was saved due to their quick actions.

Before the boy's arrival at the hospital, the police had also alerted the medical college's superintendent, Sudeepa Dash, about the situation. Upon the patient's arrival, a team of doctors led by Manas Ranjan Sahu, head of the surgery department, was ready to provide immediate treatment. They worked tirelessly for two and a half hours to perform surgery and save the boy's life.

Now, he is in the intensive care unit for observation and is expected to make a full recovery. The police's efforts did not go unnoticed, as the SDPO, Manas Ranjan Barik, explained that they had formed a team to handle the situation and had kept the medical college informed throughout the entire process. It was a team effort, and it paid off in the end.
