On Saturday, a horrific incident of gang-rape with a newly married woman came to light in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. The 20-year-old woman was waiting for her husband to take her to her in-laws’ house on July 20 when two bike-borne youths approached her and offered to give her a lift.
The unsuspecting woman accepted the offer and got on the motorcycle, only to be taken to an open field 2 km away from the spot. The miscreants then took turns to rape her while two more bike-borne men watched the scene. After the heinous crime, they even took away her phone.
After the woman registered a complaint with the Badarwas police station, the police immediately swung into action and arrested four accused of the crime on Friday. On Saturday, the police took out a procession of the four accused and took them to the hospital for medical treatment. During this, the accused were seen hiding their faces.
The police are also preparing to run bulldozers on the illegal encroachment of the accused. Meanwhile, MP Jyotiraditya Scindia has expressed his anger over such heinous crimes and has promised to bring justice to the victim.
