Offset, a popular rapper, has resolved a $1.5 million tax debt.

According to a recent report from US Magazine, Atlanta's own Offset, who is currently going through a divorce with his estranged wife Cardi B, has finally resolved his ongoing tax troubles with the Internal Revenue Service. It has been confirmed that the rapper has paid off a staggering $1.5 million in back taxes that he owed to the government. This comes after months of legal back and forth between Offset and the IRS, with the agency initially filing a lien for the amount on April 3, 2024. Thankfully, the situation has taken a positive turn as the lien was lifted on December 26, 2025, allowing Offset to clear his name and move on from this financial burden. However, it seems that there may still be some lingering issues for the former Migos member as he could potentially face another hefty bill of $778,426. This additional amount is said to be from a separate lien of $486,426.35 that was imposed on Offset for the taxes he owed in 2023. And if that wasn't enough, he may also be faced with another lien for $292,000 from the Georgia Department of Revenue for his 2021 taxes, as reported in March 2025. Initially, the amount listed by the agency was $167,916, but that number has since increased due to added interest, penalties, collection fees, and other expenses. This news may come as a surprise to fans of the rapper, especially considering the ongoing drama surrounding his divorce from Cardi B. The couple, who split in 2024, according to US Weekly, has been in the headlines for months as they navigate their separation and custody of their child. In fact, Cardi B herself has previously mentioned Offset's tax issues as one of the reasons for their delayed divorce proceedings. In a candid statement, she revealed, "The only reason why I'm still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes." She continued, "Y'all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else's taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties. I'm fighting for that, I'm gonna fight for that. This is not no love sh**." In May 2025, Offset officially requested joint custody and spousal support in their ongoing divorce case, further adding to the public's interest in their personal lives. However, it seems that the couple has been facing more than their fair share of drama, as they were also victims of a swatting hoax at their Georgia home in 2026. Despite all the ups and downs, it is clear that Offset is taking a step in the right direction by settling his tax debt and hopefully putting this chapter behind him.
