Indian politician Prem Patnaik is in stable condition following surgery and will be visited by Naveen on April 10 in Delhi.

Naveen Patnaik, the president of BJD, has announced that he will be traveling to Delhi on April 10th to visit his elder brother, Prem Patnaik. According to a statement released by the party, Prem Patnaik recently underwent a major heart surgery and is currently recovering at a private hospital in the national capital. Although his condition is stable, party leaders have mentioned that he will need to be closely monitored by medical professionals.

As a result, Naveen has decided to take some time off from his duties and spend a few days with his family in Delhi, where they have a house. For those who may not know, Prem Patnaik is a businessman who is based in Delhi. He is the older brother of Naveen and their sister, Gita Mehta.

Sadly, Gita passed away in 2023 and is deeply missed by her family and friends. Despite their busy schedules, the Patnaik siblings have always made time for each other and have remained close. In fact, when Naveen underwent a spine surgery in Mumbai back in 2025, Prem was by his side providing love and support.

This bond between the siblings is a testament to the strong values instilled in them by their parents, the legendary Biju Patnaik and Gyan Patnaik. Naveen, the youngest of the three children, has followed in his father's footsteps and has become a prominent figure in Odisha's political landscape. We wish Prem Patnaik a speedy recovery and hope that the Patnaik family can spend quality time together in Delhi.

Bhubaneswar and the rest of Odisha eagerly await Naveen's return, as he continues to work towards the betterment of the state. As always, Orissa POST will keep you updated on any further developments.
