It seems like once again, flights have been cancelled at Heathrow airport. As the peak of the summer holiday travel season approaches, transportation networks in London are preparing for what is expected to be one of the busiest days. However, not all travelers have had an easy start to their journeys as flights have been axed at London airports, including Heathrow.
According to the motoring expert RAC, there are expected to be 3.2 million car journeys on UK roads on what has been dubbed as "Frantic Friday." This means that there will most likely be major queues forming at three hotspots throughout the weekend. On top of that, trains to and from London's Victoria station have also been disrupted, causing cancellations and delays for commuters this morning.
Thankfully, those traveling on the London Underground have been spared any major disruptions during the busy rush hour. Only minor delays have been reported on the DLR and Central line, providing some relief for commuters. Despite the chaos and potential setbacks, London's transportation networks are doing their best to ensure smooth travels for everyone during this peak holiday season.
