Delhi Police interrogates CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka

New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka appeared before the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Thursday in connection with an ongoing investigation, police sources said. According to the sources, the two leaders arrived at the Crime Branch office in Rajouri Garden around 11 am, where they are being questioned by a team of officers. They appeared in connection with two FIRs filed against them for allegedly entering the denotified protest site at Jantar Mantar on October 13.

The two FIRs, initially registered at the Connaught Place and Parliament Street police stations, were later transferred to the Crime Branch for further investigation. The leaders had earlier been summoned to join the probe, but they had sought more time and did not appear. The cases are linked to the alleged violation of restrictions at Jantar Mantar, where CJP members had staged a protest and unfurled the national flag.
