It was reported that her team was maintaining a slow over-rate, which ultimately resulted in their defeat by three runs at the Baroda Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday. This loss caused Delhi Capitals to slip down to the fourth position on the points table. The WPL (Women's Premier League) released a statement addressing the incident, stating that Jemimah Rodrigues had been fined for her team's slow over-rate during their match against Gujarat Giants. Being her first offense of the season under the WPL's Code of Conduct for minimum over-rate offenses, Jemimah was fined a hefty amount of INR 12 lakhs. Currently, with six points and a Net Run Rate of -0.164, Delhi Capitals are in a tight race for the top three spots in the WPL playoffs. Their next match is scheduled against the bottom-ranked team, UP Warriorz, on February 1.
