BJP has been given the industry's suggestion to include liquor shops in their manifesto.
Indore was abuzz with activity as eminent personalities from the city gathered to give their suggestions to the BJP local unit for the party's manifesto for the upcoming elections. Noted figures such as former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, MP Shankar Lalwani, party city president Gaurav Ranadive, MLA Mahendra Hardia, and more convened to provide their input.

The suggestions ranged from banning liquor shops in tourist places to introducing the Advocate Protection Act, not appointing collectors as administrators in Maath temples, to reserving a big land in the city for plantation.

These suggestions came from various backgrounds such as hoteliers, industrialists, environmentalist, teachers, chartered accountants, and company secretaries. Sumit Suri, president of the Hotel Association, suggested that targeted sale of liquor be stopped in tourist areas and that the tax on open land of hotels be reduced or removed by the municipal corporation. Pramod Dafaria from the Industrial Association proposed that land given to the industry should be freehold and that the online process should be sped up.

Advocate Lokesh Bhatnagar called for the implementation of the Advocate Protection Act, while Yogendra Mahant argued against the appointment of collectors as administrators in Maath temples and advocated for the use of the land for agriculture. SL Garg, an environmentalist, appealed for the government to earmark a big area for environmental protection in all the cities, where trees can be planted in large numbers.

The gathering was a testament to the strength of Indore and the progress it has made over the years. Sumitra Mahajan noted that many people had played a crucial role in the development of the city and expressed her hope that other cities could be developed to the same standards. With the gathering of influential individuals, it is clear that the BJP is taking a proactive role in assembling a manifesto that will benefit the citizens of Indore.
