I’ve been hearing a lot about it.

Barry Keoghan keeps a youthful appearance with a £4,500 cosmetic treatment

Barry Keoghan has reportedly undergone a cosmetic treatment worth up to £4,500. The Saltburn star, 34, has given fans a look at his luxury skincare routine after revealing he’s had a cosmetic procedure that could cost an eye-watering amount. He has joined a growing number of Hollywood celebrities turning to high-tech facial treatments, choosing a non-invasive skin-tightening procedure also said to be popular with Kim Kardashian and Naomi Watts.

While many of us are still trying to remember our SPF every morning, Barry has taken a far more advanced approach to caring for his skin. The Irish actor has had two sessions of XERF, a treatment developed in South Korea that uses radiofrequency energy to warm the deeper layers of the skin and encourage collagen production. In simple terms, it aims to make the skin look firmer and tighter without the need for surgery.

Celebrity skincare specialist Nilam Holmes shared footage of Barry having the treatment on Instagram, showing him lying back on a treatment bed as she moved a handheld device across his face. Wearing a white headband, Barry looked completely relaxed as the device was passed over his cheeks, nose and jawline. “I’ve been hearing a lot about it and Nilam is very excited about it.

And she’s brilliant at what she does. I really mean that,” he said in the video. “Every time I come in, it’s very relaxing and therapeutic.

Nilam looks after my skin. I feel better about myself. I look better.

“I think it’s important to look after yourself inside and outside.” And apparently, that self-care comes at a pretty hefty price. A single full-face treatment at Nilam’s clinic costs £2,500, while a package of two sessions is priced at £4,500. Each appointment lasts around 90 minutes, and the clinic says results can keep improving over several months, lasting anywhere from 12 to 18 months.

Unlike surgical procedures, XERF doesn’t involve cuts, injections or anaesthetic, and is marketed as requiring no downtime. It’s not known whether Barry paid for the sessions himself. He’s certainly in good company.

Kardashian, 46, has previously called the treatment her “new fave tightening laser,” although the technology actually uses radiofrequency rather than lasers. Naomi Watts, 58, has also shared her own experience, enthusing: “Feels so good! No pain.

No downtime. Snatched.” Barry’s comments come after growing public scrutiny over his appearance, with social media users speculating in recent months about changes to his face. After his appearance at the New York premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man in March, some questioned whether he had had cosmetic work done.

However, Barry has never confirmed having facial fillers, and the treatment he has now revealed does not involve injectables. While celebrity cosmetic procedures may seem like harmless gossip, Barry has previously spoken about the serious effect constant commentary about his appearance has had on him. Earlier this year, he admitted that the online abuse had become so severe that he sometimes found it hard to leave the house.

“There’s a lot of abuse of how I look,” he told SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. “It’s made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside.” He added: “When that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem because then you don’t even want to be on screen anymore.” The actor, who shares son Brando with former partner Alyson Kierans, also said he worries about his little boy eventually coming across the cruel comments. It’s an uneasy contradiction in an industry that praises actors for their looks, then endlessly picks apart those same looks whenever they change.

Barry previously reflected on his unexpected heartthrob status after Saltburn took off, telling GQ in 2024: “It’s nice not just being looked at as the weird-looking guy.” “My prettiness didn’t get me this far,” he added.
