Author shares Trump's derogatory comments about overweight black women during conflict with Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook.
In a recent interview, a biographer of former President Trump uncovered some startling insights into his views on Black women. According to Michael Wolff, Trump's ongoing feud with Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook is a reflection of his deep-seated sentiments towards Black women, particularly those in positions of power.

Wolff, who spent over two years embedded in Trump's campaign, joined the Daily Beast's podcast to discuss his analysis of Trump's issue with Black women. He revealed that during his time with the campaign, he noticed a persistent theme of Trump's attitude towards Black women.

The recent targets of Trump's ire, including Cook, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, all fit into what Wolff describes as the "fat Black woman" archetype that Trump views as a threat to his rule.

"This had a special meaning for Trump," explained Wolff. "Black women were seen as coming after him, and in his mind, they were all 'fat Black women.' This personal animus, revulsion, and fear were evident on a daily basis, with people around him constantly calling me to report another instance of a 'fat Black woman.'"

The current tension between Trump and Cook stems from accusations made by another Trump appointee, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte. Pulte claimed that Cook was involved in mortgage fraud, and he even sent a criminal referral letter detailing the alleged falsification of bank documents and property records.

However, Cook has dismissed these allegations as bullying tactics and has maintained her innocence. She has also stated that she is willing to answer any questions related to her financial history as part of her role in the Federal Reserve.

Despite Cook's denials, Trump has continued his attacks, even going as far as threatening to fire her if she does not resign. He has also called her actions "bad" to reporters, although they have yet to be verified.

This is not the first time that Trump has targeted Black women who have challenged him. James successfully led a civil suit against Trump for exaggerating his financial records to obtain better loan terms, causing him to label her as a "criminal." And when Willis indicted Trump and his team for alleged election interference in Georgia, he called her "corrupt" after she was removed from the case due to her relationship with a special prosecutor.

Wolff believes that Trump's constant attacks on Black women in the political arena stem from an obsession and a fear that they will bring about his downfall.

"It's obvious that Trump has an obsession with Black women," said Wolff. "One of his staffers even told me that he must dream about them. This goes beyond just a political strategy; it's a pathology."

Not surprisingly, the White House has strongly refuted Wolff's claims. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung called Wolff a "lying sack of s–t" and accused him of fabricating stories due to his "severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome."

This ongoing feud between Trump and Black women is just one example of the tense relationship between the former president and communities of color. Despite Trump's denials, his actions and words continue to speak louder than his empty promises to address the issues facing Black communities.
