Anthony Anderson is having a laugh with his new partnership with Charmin Ultra Soft. The renowned toilet paper brand tapped the "Black-ish" star to help introduce their new square-free toilet paper. This type of toilet paper is a first in the last 100 years and Anderson has the perfect demonstration to show.
"Charmin has always wanted to make your bathroom experience better," Anderson joked. "They listened to their consumers who would call them and tell them they were having trouble with square toilet tissue. 'It's tearing, it's ripping,' they'd say. So Charmin did something they haven't done in 100 years; they changed the look of the toilet paper. They re-engineered the square for smooth tearing."
Anderson then pulled out a roll of toilet paper to illustrate his point. He made sure to include a joke from his show "Black-ish" in his demonstration.
"Look, you just pull it apart," Anderson said. "Look, you can't do that with a regular one. And look, they're not square anymore, Jeroslyn. They're square-ish. Look at those scalloped edges!"
Since the end of his Emmy award-winning show last year, Anderson has stayed busy with projects that have meaning to him. He has appeared in family and friend-driven travel series like "Trippin" with his mother Doris Hancox and "Kings of BBQ" with his long-time friend Cedric The Entertainer.
"It's about helping people and it's about what the causes are for, if we're gonna talk about causes and things like that," Anderson explained. "In terms of projects, just what moves me and what resonates with me. I have my own family foundation and we've raised about $2 million for various charities, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles to LA Mission, Boys and Girls Club of America, and an aviation school in Compton."
Anderson also works to raise awareness on Type 2 Diabetes and mental health due to his personal ties to both areas. His campaigns with Charmin only help him to continue his philanthropic efforts. With all of the new roles coming his way, Anderson is busy filming a movie in South Africa and balancing his roles.
