Anju, a destitute girl in Indore, received a scooty through a Jansunwai initiative.
This Tuesday, a Jansunvai was held at the collector's office in Indore where a scooty was handed over to a destitute girl, Anju. Along with this, 13 retrofitted scooties were also approved for 13 differently-abled people.

Anju told the collector that her parents had passed away many years ago and she and her siblings were living in an ashram of a private institution. After passing class 10 with 75% marks, Anju learned typing and shorthand to become self-reliant and now works in a private company. However, the working place is 6-7 kilometres away from the hostel, which made commuting difficult for her and she didn't have enough money to buy a vehicle or to spend money on transportation.

The collector was moved by her story and immediately approved the scooty for her. During the Jansunvai in the afternoon, Anju was handed the keys of the scooty. She expressed her gratitude to the collector for such a generous gesture.

The collector also approved retrofitted scooties for Kishore, Mukesh, Satish Panchal, Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Kapil, Ramesh Alaway, Balram, Narendra Gurjar, Aarti Chaurasia, Vikram Khede, Kailash Kure, Niyanta Vyas, and Jairam Dabi. To meet the immediate needs of other applicants, financial assistance was also approved. Kiran Bai and Rajni Chauhan were each given Rs 10,000, Phulabai and Himanshi Meena were each given Rs 20,000, Lakhan Chauhan was given Rs 2,000, and Payal from Red Cross was given Rs 3,000.

Separately, the MP: MLA inaugurated a sub-health centre in Londhi village. This centre will provide free and accessible healthcare to the residents of the village.
