An elderly woman's body was discovered beneath a kitchen slab in Puri.

In the bustling town of Puri, a tragic event unfolded on Tuesday as the police discovered the body of an elderly woman under a cement-plastered kitchen slab. The woman's son, Madan Dalai, has been identified as the prime suspect in her murder and is believed to have fled the scene. The incident was reported by the house owner to the authorities.

According to sources, the mother and son had only been renting the house for the past two months, paying a modest sum of Rs 3,000 per month.
