A young man in his twenties found himself in a frightening situation today, as he was rushed to the hospital after being crushed by cows in Victoria. The incident occurred at an abattoir in Geelong around 2pm, while the man was inside a cattle truck. The cows, unfortunately, caused him harm and he suffered serious injuries to his upper body.
Thankfully, paramedics were on the scene and were able to provide immediate treatment to the injured worker while still inside the truck. They then quickly transported him by ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for further care. Currently, he is in a serious but stable condition, and authorities have been notified of the incident as per protocol, with WorkSafe being informed.
