This morning in Hayes, on Uxbridge Road, a tragic event occurred. A woman lost her life and a man was injured in a double stabbing incident in west London. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 7:55am and upon arrival, discovered a 24-year-old woman who was pronounced dead.
Outside, they also found a man in his twenties who had sustained stab wounds. According to the Metropolitan Police, they were able to quickly locate a 44-year-old man, who fit the description of the suspect, in the vicinity. He was found with injuries, believed to have been caused by jumping out of a window, and was subsequently taken to the hospital.
The man was arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a knife in a public place. Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo of the Met expressed shock over the incident and offered condolences to the victims and their loved ones. He also reassured the public that there is no immediate danger, but residents may notice an increase in police presence in the area as a precaution.
