Gonikoppa, Oct. 31: Kodagu-Mysore MP Yaduveer Wodeyar promised to provide grant for the continued work of the slow-moving Gonikoppa Kodava Samaj building.

The MP, who visited the building on the request of the Kodava Samaj management board, got information about the lack of grant.

On this occasion, Kodava Samaj Secretary C.D. Madappa submitted a petition and convinced about the financial shortage. He requested to provide grant from the MP's fund. Speaking after accepting the request, the MP said that the grant has already been used for many works. He assured that grant will be provided for the building work in the next April.

The ambitious 12 Gram Sadak project of the central government has been launched. Three places have been identified for the airport required by the district, and an airport will be built at one place based on the report submitted by the Airport Authority of India. Similarly, the approval of the state Forest Department is required for widening the Periyapatna-Kushalnagar road. He said that if the approval is received, the Mysore-Kushalnagar road will be developed soon.

Arun, Ajjikuttir Devaiah, Chonira Manju, Kuppanda Giri, Nachappa and other villagers were present.
