Jawad: In a shocking incident, a labourer met a tragic end on Sunday when he was run over by multiple vehicles in Jawad. The labourer was identified as Karan Bhuiya.
On the same day, Ratangarh Police were conducting a raid on Neemuch-Singoli Road. Acting on a tip-off, they intercepted a pickup vehicle near Kanjarda Tiraha and found 6 quintals of poppy-husk in the vehicle.
Karan Bhuiya was taken into custody from the spot while another person named Bhima Bhat of Neemuch managed to escape. The culprits were booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
Police launched a manhunt to nab the absconders. However, Karan Bhuiya was found dead on the Jawad road. He was run over by multiple vehicles and his body was mutilated beyond recognition.
