Kushalnagar, Jul. 21: The police have succeeded in arresting two main accused, including a youth from the district, who were absconding in the ‘honey-trapping’ case that took place in the nearby Byulukuppe police station limits.
Saif, a resident of Napoklu Kunjila in Kodagu district, and a young woman from Mandya have been arrested. Last June, the accused, who were absconding after honey-trapping a clothing shop owner in Kampalapur, Periyapatna, and extorting lakhs of rupees, were traced and arrested by Sub-Inspector Ravikumar of the Law and Order Department of Byulukuppe Police Station and his team at a lodge near Kannur, Kerala.
The accused, Hunsur Police Station Constable Shivanna and Murthy, were arrested earlier in the case. In the case, the accused had honey-trapping the clothing shop owner and extorting more than Rs. 10 lakhs. The police said that the accused have been handed over to the Mysore court.
