On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate announced that they have seized properties worth Rs 1.52 crore belonging to Basanta Das, who is a mining lease holder. In connection with this alleged scam, the ED had previously charged Anand Kumar for colluding with Basanta Das. As part of their investigation, the ED had also conducted searches at Das's residence and office premises.
