The Alan, Dine & Drink is a restaurant that offers both food and drinks.
Fiona Tenneb decided to take a trip down to Manchester and treat herself to a meal at The Alan Hotel's Dine & Drink restaurant. She had heard great things about the restaurant and was excited to finally try it out for herself.

To her delight, the meal at The Alan was a culinary masterpiece. Each dish surpassed her expectations and left her wanting more. What made the experience even more special was that the food was prepared right in front of her by a skilled chef in a clean and efficient kitchen. This added a personal touch to the whole experience.

Fiona and her companion started off with two appetizers that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The king prawns with nduja, chilli, garlic, parsley, tomato, and charred bread were bursting with flavors, while the grilled asparagus with chorizo, wild rocket, chorizo hollandaise, and pecorino cheese was a perfect combination of textures and tastes. These dishes were so remarkable that Fiona even tried to recreate them at home, but nothing could compare to the perfection of The Alan's version.

For the main course, Fiona savored a 98g aged beef fillet with beer-braised shallots and béarnaise sauce, while her companion indulged in the pan-fried gnocchi with roast butternut squash, kale, chilli, cherry tomato, garlic, and vegan feta cheese. Both dishes were perfectly balanced in terms of flavors and were accompanied by sautéed greens with chilli and garlic and the most delicious sweet potato fries she had ever tasted.

Despite being full, they couldn't resist trying out the desserts. The chocolate brownie with fresh blueberries, raspberries, and plant-based honeycomb ice cream was decadent and rich, while the lemon posset topped with blueberries on a shortbread biscuit provided a refreshing end to the meal.

The menu at The Alan also offers a wide selection of exceptional wines and cocktails to complement every dish. And the best part? The restaurant is open to anyone, not just hotel guests.

From the first bite to the last, every dish at The Alan was exceptional. The service was warm and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Fiona and her companion were blown away by the unforgettable meal and couldn't wait to come back for more. She highly recommends The Alan to anyone looking for a truly world-class dining experience.
