It's never too early for children to learn about the power of manifestation. That's why Tera Carissa Hodges, a renowned author and life coach, has written a new book aimed at teaching kids the importance of self-love. As a licensed international speaker and certified life coach, Hodges is passionate about helping people transform their lives, and now she's bringing that passion to children with her latest release, "I Am: A Little One's Guide to Affirmations."

In an interview with BLACK ENTERPRISE, Hodges explained the inspiration behind her book. "I know that children can't control their environment, but they can control what they believe about themselves if they are taught at an early age," she said. As a mother herself, Hodges understands the importance of instilling self-love and confidence in children. She saw firsthand how it can positively impact a child's life and wanted to share that message with others.

"I think being a mommy now has given me an extra layer of desire to protect children," Hodges shared. "I've been working in the field of helping children for years through my ministry, but now that I am a mother, I see even more the power of children knowing their worth and purpose."

Unfortunately, statistics show that 1 in 5 students in the U.S. has experienced bullying, with 40% facing cyberbullying. These troubling realities are what inspired Hodges to write a book specifically focused on affirmations for children. "Children can't control if there's a bully at school," she said, "but they can control their own beliefs and not let the bully impact their self-esteem." Hodges believes that affirmations can be a powerful tool for children to build a strong sense of self-worth and confidence.

"I Am: A Little One's Guide to Affirmations" is just one of the many self-empowerment products Hodges has created. She also has multiple books and greeting cards available in Walgreens and CVS stores nationwide. With her financial success, Hodges felt a strong desire to offer her children's affirmations book free of charge to organizations serving children. "This is dealing with the self-esteem of children," she said. "I woke up one morning and knew I couldn't sell this book. It's too important and powerful." Hodges is now offering free copies to any organization that serves children.

But Hodges is not stopping there. She has a new book coming out on June 29 in partnership with former Ohio House representative and motivational speaker Les Brown. Titled "Your Story Sells," the book features a chapter written by Hodges that focuses on empowering women. "I really go in-depth on how women can empower themselves," she shared. "I encourage every woman to be on the lookout for this book because I am dropping some gems that will help them weather any storm, especially in relationships."

Hodges' passion for helping others, especially children and women, is evident in her work. She hopes that her affirmations book and upcoming projects will continue to inspire and empower others to live their best lives.
