Telangana Congress members to be summoned again by Delhi Police over Amit Shah fake video case.
In New Delhi, authorities have revealed that the Delhi Police will be issuing a second notice to members of the Telangana Congress for their involvement in sharing a fake video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This update was announced on Thursday by officials familiar with the matter.

It was reported that four members of the Telangana Congress were summoned to appear before the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations office, but they failed to show up on Wednesday. In light of this, an officer involved in the investigation stated that they will be requesting for the members to appear before the IO once again.

The initial summonses were issued to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and four other members of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee - Shiva Kumar Ambala, Asma Tasleem, Satish Manne, and Naveen Pettem. This was done under sections 91 and 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

According to sources from the police, those who receive a notice under these sections have the option to either personally appear before the IO or send a legal representative on their behalf. On Wednesday, Reddy's lawyer showed up on his behalf and stated that the Congress leader had no involvement in the creation or sharing of the doctored video of Shah's speech.

Police have also revealed that a total of 22 people from different political parties in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh have been served notices in connection with this case. They have been asked to appear before the police on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The FIR was registered by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Sunday after a complaint was filed by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, which operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The complaint was regarding the doctored video of Shah, where his statements about abolishing reservations for Muslims in Telangana were altered to make it seem like he was advocating for the removal of all reservations.

This is an ongoing investigation and more updates are expected to follow in the coming days. It is crucial for all involved parties to cooperate with the authorities and provide any relevant information to aid in the resolution of this matter.
