Successful Annadana Service Held at Talakaveri

Madikeri, Oct 28: The 'Annadana' service, organized by the 'Kodagu Ekikarana Ranga' (Kodagu Unification Forum) at the sacred site of Talakaveri, is currently underway. Every year, the organization arranges this food service for devotees, spanning the period from 'Teerthodbhava' (the auspicious emergence of the river) through to 'Kiru Sankramana'.

The 10-day period following 'Teerthodbhava'—known as 'Patthalodi'—marks a significant phase of this initiative. So far, the organization has provided lunch and dinner to approximately 55,000 devotees, in addition to serving breakfast to about 18,000 people.

The breakfast menu includes items such as idli, vada, sambar, chutney, uppittu (upma), kesari bath, kara bath, and chitranna (lemon rice). For lunch, the meal consists of rice, sambar, rasam, curd, pickles, and payasa (sweet pudding).

Ajjinanda Thammu Poovayya, a key representative of the organization, stated that hot coffee is being served daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
