Schools with CCTV cameras to be chosen as exam centres for MP Board Exams in 2024.
Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has announced that the board exams for classes 10th and 12th will take place earlier than usual this year, due to the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Preparations for the examinations, starting on February 5, have already begun and the list of examination centres has been handed over to the district education officers.

The board has taken the decision to ensure that no one can cheat during the exams, so all the examination centres will be monitored through CCTV cameras. Installation of cameras is mandatory in all the centres, especially in the sensitive and hypersensitive ones. In schools where the cameras are not working, they will be made operational. If there is no arrangement for CCTV and videography at the centres, then the examination centre might be changed. This year, the board is taking extra steps to prevent any kind of malpractice, due to which 16 question papers of both the classes went viral last year.

The authorities, including District Education Officer Anjani Kumar Tripathi, have mentioned that cameras were already installed in most of the schools as they are used as polling stations. The board is also collecting information about the cameras installed in the examination centres. This time, only those schools which have CCTV cameras installed will be used as examination centres. Balwant Verma, Controller of Examination of MPBSE, has stated that the schools with cameras installed will be inspected.
