On Sunday, sanitation workers from Ganj Basoda ended their strike on the seventh day and went to the temple dedicated to Goddess Sheetala. The workers then picked up heaps of garbage which had not been cleared by the sanitation workers during the strikes.

Urban development and housing minister Bhupendra Singh also participated in a cleanliness drive in Khurai of Sagar district on Sunday. He broomed the roads on the Parsa Square and handed over cleanliness kits to sanitation workers. He also reflected on the success of Indore which has been continuously topping the cleanliness survey for the past six years. At the end, he administered an oath of cleanliness to all the residents of Khurai.
