Rylan Clark has recently revealed some unfortunate news regarding his mother, Linda. The 70-year-old suffered a 'bad fall' while on holiday, and now has to have surgery. As a result, Rylan is unable to return to his BBC Radio show while he looks after his mum.
Taking to X, Rylan wrote: "So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she's had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have surgery out here. She's not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated."
The X Factor star also thanked Scott Mills for stepping in to cover his radio show, and thanked those who sent their well wishes. He went on to say, "Praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Will update you on mummy Linda as and when I can x."
Rylan has spoken before about how close he is to his mum, and how she was his 'absolute rock' during his 'toughest' year, following his divorce from Dan Neal in 2021. He shared, "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my mum. I stayed with my mum for that whole time... it was almost like I regressed to being a child again. I couldn't have done it without her."
