Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh’s daughter Lilah has been taken to hospital on Monday morning. Taking to Instagram, Lucy shared a black-and-white photo of herself comforting Lilah, confirming she would not be able to attend a retreat in Portugal and would remain by Lilah’s side.
The former TOWIE star wrote: ‘Meant to be boarding a plane now to @rwlresultsretreats in Portugal but this little one had other ideas. Everyone on the @rwl retreat this week have the most amazing time! I’m very jealous, the itinerary, menu & team is incredible hoping to join when Lilah is all better. Now I just need to focus on giving her lots of mummy cuddles and getting her back to being healthy and well.’
Lucy and Ryan, who is best known for playing Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street, also share three-year-old Roman and ten-year-old Scarlett, whom Ryan shares with his ex Tina O’Brien.
The couple met on The Island with Bear Grylls in 2017 and became engaged two years later. They finally moved into their home following extensive renovation work last month, which came just days before Ryan’s brother Adam Thomas started his Strictly Come Dancing journey.
Adam, who has chronic rheumatoid arthritis, has vowed not to let his condition stand in his way during the competition. He has so far been breezing his way through the ballroom show and is swimming to help ease his symptoms.
