AAP says Punjab CM Mann was detained at Delhi airport and fined Rs 50,000.

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was held for three hours at the Delhi airport after returning from Paris and was also fined Rs 50,000. According to the party, officials cited “tremendous pressure from above” as the reason. However, the party did not clarify why Mann was detained or why the fine was imposed.

Punjab AAP media in-charge Baltej Pannu connected the episode to the Centre’s “repeated” refusal to allow Mann’s foreign trips, as well as its alleged withholding of Punjab’s funds and its handling of the farmers’ protest. He accused the Centre of creating “obstacles” in the way of Punjab’s development.
