Revenue courts in Madhya Pradesh should start functioning after the model code of conduct is in place, says Narmadapuram Collector.
Narmadapuram's Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh held a meeting with revenue officials in the collectorate on Saturday to discuss the proper running of revenue courts even when the model code of conduct is in place.

Singh expressed his desire to solve cases related to nomination, distribution and allotment of properties that have been pending for three to six months. He then proceeded to review the revenue and criminal cases registered in the revenue case management system, tehsil by tehsil.

He was not pleased with the progress of those Tehsilders who had completed less than 70% of their work, and he asked them to show improvement within a month. He also said that forest rehabilitation cases should be handled with caution.

Continuing the discussion on criminal cases, Singh directed the officials to send a report of interim and final bound-over in a fixed pro-forma every week, and to make sure the information is pasted outside the related court.

He then shifted his focus to farmers from Bankhedi, Seoni Malwa and Makhan Nagar and asked the officials to get the KYC of farmers done as soon as possible. Additionally, he asked them to speed up the revenue collection process.

Sub-divisional magistrates, Tehsilders and Nayab Tehsilders were present to hear the directives during the meeting.
