The spell of winter rain has continued to hit the state for the second consecutive day on Monday, leading to a sharp drop in day temperature across the state. According to Met sources, this trend is likely to continue for the next couple of days.
In the last 24 hours, Rama in Jhabua district recorded 110.3mm of rainfall, 109mm at Barwani, 84mm at Khargone and 60mm at Ratlam. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain with wind blowing at 40 km per hour in Narmdapuram, Betul, Guna, Dindori, Mandla, Chhindwara, and Damoh.
Similarly, a yellow alert for thundershower with lightning has been issued for districts like Raisen, Sehore, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Ashok Nagar, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Seoni, Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Vididha, Bhopal, Rajgarh, Khargone, Badwani, Alirajpur, Dhar, Indore, Dewas, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Sheopurkalan, Rewa, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Narsinghpur, Panna, Sagar and Niwari.
Meteorological Department senior officer, Ved Pratap Singh, further added that the cyclonic circulation which was over northern part of Madhya Pradesh is still working and rain activities are likely to continue for the next couple of days, even after a week of western disturbance. He also mentioned that after November 29th, there will be another western disturbance, so the rain activities will pick up again.

For instance, Bhopal saw a drop of 6.9 degrees, recording a temperature of 20.8 degrees, Betul saw 7.4 degrees with 19.8 degrees as day temperature, Chhindwara saw 9.4 degrees with 17.2 degrees as day temperature, Mandla saw 5.8 degrees with 22.8 degrees as day temperature, Seoni saw 5.2 degrees with 22 degrees as day temperature, Indore saw 5 degrees with 20 degrees as day temperature, Narmadapuram saw 6.6 degrees with 20.8 degrees as day temperature, and Dhar saw 6 degrees with 19.3 degrees as day temperature.
