Pralhad Joshi replaces Pradhan as Education Minister following resignation.

In an announcement made by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, it was revealed that Union Minister Prahlad Joshi will take on the role of Education Minister after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday. Along with his current position as Consumer Affairs Minister, Joshi will now also hold the responsibility of the Education Ministry. The resignation of Pradhan was accepted with immediate effect by President Modi, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Following the Prime Minister's recommendation, Joshi, who is a Cabinet Minister, has been assigned the task of overseeing the Ministry of Education in addition to his current duties. The decision comes after widespread protests by students, led by the Cockroach Janta Party, calling for Pradhan's removal due to the NEET paper leak controversy. In his statement, Pradhan clarified that this is not a matter of personal pride for him and that he is troubled by the events that have transpired in the last 10 days.
