Tragedy struck in Paris on Saturday night when a person was killed and a British tourist injured in an attack near the Eiffel Tower. It is reported that an assailant targeted passers-by in the Quai de Grenelle area of France's capital.
The person killed was a tourist with dual German and Filipino nationality. The second victim was a British man out walking with his wife and child when he was attacked from behind. Thankfully, he is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Local media reports suggest a knife and hammer were used in the attack. Dr Patrick Pelloux told BFM TV: “The assailant was neutralised very quickly by police. We tried to save the life of this man. It's a man who died and they were tourists.”
