Nintendo is releasing a new Mario Kart World bundle, but it will cost more than before.

The new Nintendo Switch 2 is making waves with its upcoming price increase, which means the returning Mario Kart World bundle will also see a bump in cost. But don't worry, because this bundle comes with a new addition that makes it worth the extra dollars. Last year, when the Switch 2 was first released, customers had the option to purchase it alongside a digital copy of Mario Kart World for a discounted price of £429.99.

This was a fantastic deal, as it saved buyers £40 on the game alone. However, Nintendo announced that the bundle would only be available until autumn 2025. Despite this, it remained on sale well past Christmas and even into the new year.

Unfortunately, it is currently sold out on Nintendo's website and other retailers. But here's the good news: Nintendo has decided to bring back the bundle in September. The bad news?

It will arrive after the Switch 2's price increase on September 1, making it more expensive than it was a year ago. While Nintendo has not yet confirmed the UK price, in the US it will cost $549.99, which is $50 more than its original price. This is due to not only the Switch 2's new price of $499.99, but also the addition of a three-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

The original bundle only included the console and the game, but this new version comes with a three-month subscription, which usually costs $7.99. In the UK, this subscription is priced at £6.99. Altogether, this means a saving of approximately $38, which comes to around £28 in the UK.

If you were to buy the console, the game, and the subscription separately, it would cost £503.97. So, we can estimate that the bundle's UK price will be around £475. But that's not all.

Nintendo is also planning to release a Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle ahead of the game's launch on October 22. This bundle will include a digital copy of the game and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription. It will be $20 cheaper than the Mario Kart bundle, at $529.99, as the game itself has a lower price tag.

In the UK, the game costs £41.99 digitally, so the bundle will likely be around £463. It's worth noting that Nintendo currently offers customizable bundles on their online store, where customers can choose one game from a selection of first-party titles, along with a Switch Online subscription and a free accessory. However, there are no discounts on the console, games, or subscription, so buyers will have to pay full price for the bundle.
