Nicolas Cage & Hideo Kojima met, but purpose remains a mystery.
Could Nicolas Cage be in Death Stranding 2? Fans have been speculating ever since the actor and Hideo Kojima met up recently.
It's becoming more and more common to see Hollywood celebrities getting involved in the gaming world. Lending their faces or voices for popular characters and admitting their love for gaming in their spare time.
Kojima is no stranger to this, as he's previously included Kiefer Sutherland as Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5, as well as Léa Seydoux and Norman Reedus in Death Stranding.
It appears that Nicolas Cage might be Kojima's next big name to join the gaming world. Cage recently appeared in Dead By Daylight, and seemed enthusiastic at Summer Game Fest.
Kojima posted a picture of himself and Cage on Twitter, chillin' next to Kojima Production's iconic mascot, Ludens. Kojima was also wearing a pin with Cage's blood-stained face from the movie Mandy.
Fans were excited to see the two together, with one saying 'this is a great crossover,' and another simply saying 'it's happening.'

One Twitter account even posted a picture of Cage as Ghost Rider, captioning it 'Nic Cage delivering boxes in DS2?'
Cage also left Kojima and his team a thoughtful note on a blackboard, reading 'To Hideo and the team, thank you for an incredible tour.'
Whether Cage had gone to Japan to meet Kojima or he just happened to be in the neighbourhood is unclear. But as Death Stranding 2 still has no release date, we may have to wait a while to find out.
This isn't the first time Kojima has met up with famous folks, as he also met Keanu Reeves in a similar circumstance last year. But that didn't seem to lead to anything, unless he also has a small cameo.
We'll have to keep our eyes peeled for any further news about Cage's involvement in Death Stranding 2 or any other games.
