We are beyond excited to announce that Neighbours will be returning to our screens on Amazon Freevee next month! After the show was controversially axed by Channel 5 last year, fans were eager to know when the show would be back, and The Agency can now confirm that the new season will debut on September 18. Imagine our delight when we heard the news - not long to go!
Executive Producer Jason Herbison also revealed that ‘All the cast and crew are incredibly excited that Ramsay Street will officially welcome viewers again to the neighbourhood on 18 September in the UK and Australia, and also be introduced to brand new audiences in the US and Canada when the new chapter of Neighbours is unveiled.’
And with the release of a first look trailer, we can now get a glimpse of what’s to come. The 40-second clip features snippets of our favourite Ramsay Street mainstays, plus the introduction of a new family and intriguing newcomer Reece Sinclair, played by The OC’s Mischa Barton. We can also expect a surprise wedding that will ‘change things forever’, plus the return of Mike Young, played by Guy Pearce, for a reunion with Jane Harris.
If you’re desperate to watch the show, you’ll be glad to know that Amazon Freevee is a free ad-supported streaming service which offers a wide range of movies and TV programmes. It can be accessed on a web browser, mobile device, smart TV or games console, with the Prime Video or Freevee apps carrying both. Plus, a selection of iconic episodes are already available to stream, with every episode from 2012 to 2020 offered too.
