RC Bhaskare, the in-charge of Gandhi Nagar police station, said that Ayush Goswami, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, was stabbed to death by two persons, Karan and Kartik, of the same area on Monday. According to Bhaskare, the two accused were talking with Ayush to reach a compromise in a case when they got into an argument and later started stabbing him.

A person had captured a video of the murder in which two persons were seen chasing Ayush and stabbing him. The accused then fled the scene, after which Ayush was taken to the hospital where he could not be saved. The police arrested the accused later on Monday, based on the video.

On Tuesday, the accused were taken to the spot for the investigation and two knives were recovered from them. The police are examining CCTVs installed near the spot to collect evidence against the accused. As per the current investigation, the accused had an old rivalry with the deceased and they wanted him to compromise in a case.
