MP CM says Indian Constitution is an inspiration to the world for its inclusivity & justice.
Ujjain: Government Madhav College organised a one-day workshop on 'Constitution Day' under the aegis of IQAC Cell. The workshop began with a garlanding of the portrait of Constitution maker Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and lighting of the lamp.
Organising secretary Dr Mohan Nimole introduced the guests and highlighted the importance of the workshop. Principal Dr Jawaharlal Barmaiya addressed the gathering and said that the Indian Constitution provides equal opportunities to all. He spoke of the significance of the Constitution as an important document of our democratic system.

The workshop was graced by two keynote speakers. The first speaker, Dr Kania Meda, discussed in detail the intricacies of the Constitution. The second speaker, Dr Neeraj Sarwan, stated that the Indian Constitution is the largest and most influential constitution in the world. He said that the Constitution gave fundamental rights and duties to all citizens after thorough deliberation by the Constituent Assembly.

To mark the occasion, NCC cadets, students and staff were administered an oath to obey the provisions of the Constitution.

The women’s wing of Shiksha Sanskrati Utthan Nyas also organised a seminar on the subject of constitutional rights of women. National convener of the organisation Shobha Paithankar said that due to the influence of education, Indian women are becoming more aware and inquisitive. She added that the Indian Constitution does not discriminate between men and women and the law to give political reservation to women has been passed in the Parliament.

Former district and sessions Judge Karuna Trivedi said that the Indian Constitution is the largest and most influential written constitution in the world, protecting the body, property and legal rights of every citizen. Legal Aid Officer Chandresh Mandloi also spoke of the importance of the Constitution and the fundamental rights and duties included in it.

The seminar’s coordinator, Dr Prerna Manana, said that the theme of the seminar was Gender Equality, and spoke of women's struggle to have their rights recognised and practised even today. Dr Mamta Trivedi, Dr Deepali Madamwar and Dr Shakuntala Pandey introduced the guests.

The workshop and seminar were inspiring and informative, reminding us of the importance of the Indian Constitution and the rights it provides to all its citizens.
