MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions has demonstrated a profound sense of social commitment in the wake of the passing of one of their employees, Ganesh Mokashi. A driver for 8 years, Ganesh was highly regarded for his honesty and charitable nature. At just 38 years of age, he sadly passed away.

To express their condolences and support to Ganesh's family, the institute's teaching and non-teaching staff, along with the MIT Institute of Education, contributed generously. Dr Vishwanath Karad, the head of the institution presented a check of Rs 3 lakh and Rs 21 thousand in cash to Ganesh's wife, Swapnali. The organization also assured ongoing assistance for the family's future needs.

In honor of Ganesh, a tribute was paid to him in a program organized at Maharashtra Institute of Technology's World Peace University, Kothrud Campus. Six individuals, namely Ganesh Devdkar, Yogesh Parkhi, Raju Jadhav, Prabhakar Gore, Nilesh Dhware and Sameer Rawde, worked together to collect the relief fund.

During the event, veteran actor Dr Mohan Agashe was also honored with the 35th Punyabhushan Award.
