In 3 years, only Rs. 1.89 crore has been given for disaster prevention purposes. Now, 124 works have been undertaken on the recommendation of the Geological Survey of India, but it is not known on what basis they were taken. There is a proposal to provide a grant of Rs. 50 crore to Kodagu. Out of these, 84 works have been undertaken in the Madikeri area.
