On July 14, the Manheim Township Police Department charged a former Wendy's general manager with theft by deception. Linda Johnson, a 35-year-old from Monroe, Louisiana, allegedly created a fake employee and pocketed their wages.

A warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest and Wendy's insurer paid out around $16,000 for the fraud incident. Johnson was officially charged with one count of theft by deception on July 7 and a criminal case was filed shortly afterwards.
